Contact Us

Official Livingston County records must be requested from the public office that created or maintains them. Court files, sheriff reports, city police narratives, jail custody data, and Michigan criminal histories have separate custodians. The routes below identify where common requests belong and give the verified local contact for Sheriff Central Records. This privately operated resource cannot accept a filing, retrieve a record, change a case, or act for any Livingston County or Michigan government office.

This Is Not a Government Office. We cannot conduct an official check, obtain or correct a record, resolve a warrant, or receive a Michigan set-aside application.

Need an Official Record?

Use the office tied to the record, not simply the office nearest the event:

  • Criminal court files: contact the 53rd District Court Criminal Division at 204 S. Highlander Way, Suite 1, Howell, (517) 548-1000, or the 44th Circuit Court Clerk in Suite 4, (517) 546-9816
  • Michigan criminal histories: use ICHAT or the personal fingerprint-review process through Michigan State Police CJIC
  • Sheriff arrest and incident reports: contact Livingston Sheriff Central Records at the address below or use the county FOIA channel
  • Current county custody: call Livingston County Jail Services at (517) 546-2445
  • City police reports: request the file from Howell Police, Brighton Police, or Fowlerville Police when that agency wrote it
  • Michigan set-asides: file in the Livingston court of conviction and follow the state application packet
